About Us
Queensbury Senior Citizens was first established in 1980. At that time, Queensbury resident Arthur Turnbull and a number of senior citizens in the town of Queensbury had a vision that included a meeting place for their mutual enjoyment as well as an expansion of senior services.
On March 7th, 1980, a group of more than 100 like-minded seniors met at Town Hall to discuss their future as a viable organization. The vibrant organization we are today came about through the evolution of this grass roots effort. We count on our volunteers who contribute their time and talents to make QSC what it is and are grateful for the support we have from the Town of Queensbury which provides us housing and partial funding.
Our mission is to help our members Age Well in the Adirondacks through programs and activities that promote social interaction, physical fitness, continued learning and giving back to our community.
